Our Mission

The mission of Learning for Success, Inc. (LFS) is to help students connect their strengths, skills, talents and interests to their dreams through partnerships with teachers, schools, volunteers, their businesses and the community.
Want to volunteer?
Our kids need you now more than ever! Career education programs give students the life skills needed to succeed in post-secondary education and at work. Your participation will contribute greatly to their futures and the future of your community.
Are you a school?
KAPOW is pairing professionals with local schools to help South Florida’s youth develop essential career skills: self-awareness, positive work habits, teamwork, communication, and decision-making through mentoring and educational worksite visits.
What They’re Saying
“I still can’t believe I’m here tonight honoring the program that inspired me to become somebody in the United States. I am a graduate of the Florida International University College of Business and able to impact financial lives with my position as a relationship banker at Bank of America. Thank you KAPOW, for making me see all the possibilities and helping me achieve my dreams of being successful in this great nation.”
—Rocio Gibaja, KAPOW Volunteer and Former KAPOW Student
“Unlike typical career days I have attended, KAPOW brings the career into the classroom. The continued collaboration between the classroom, the community and the workplace is what makes the KAPOW experience a wonderful success.”
— Fire Chief Marc Celetti, City of Lauderhill Fire Department
“The skills I learn from KAPOW are important. I feel I am becoming a better person. I learn all these in a fun way in KAPOW!”
—Carlos Castaneda, 4th Grade Student Bridgeprep Academy
“Volunteers come into the school and teach, which brings meaning to what the students are learning, and the culmination is a field trip to see behind the scenes of what it’s like to have that volunteer’s job. We see value in it.”
—Assistant Principal Shannon Arias, Silver Palms Elementary
